We are a progressive firm with a general accounting, audit and tax practice. We have incorporated as of July 13, 1993 to form Sandberg & Creeden, P.C. Currently there are two principals, Arthur Sandberg and Terry Creeden. The firm consists of nine professionals. We are the auditors and accountants for a great number of non-profit agencies. As a firm we believe that we are large enough to handle almost any engagement, yet small enough to provide our clients with the personalized service that they want and deserve.
We work with over 140 non-profit, including shelters, research and educational organizations, day care centers, community development corporations, and their related subsidiaries. We have assisted in many aspects of the financial development of some of these organizations. We also service over 100 for profit entities and 450 individuals. We believe that it is important to have general tax, audit and accounting expertise within our firm. Particularly with the changing tax arena, it is important to be up to date on current developments in order to best recommend corporate structures for various ventures.
Sandberg & Creeden, P.C. provides its clients with business and financial planning, financial system set-up and training, and organizational development. After reviewing the organization's needs, we can decide on the most useful and cost-effective system available for those needs, implement the system, and utilize it to aid us with the tax and financial planning of the organization, thus, offering our clients the most effective management possible.
In addition, we perform audits, reviews, compilations and examinations of financial statements and other reports in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards and report on the fairness of the presentation of the financial position and operating results. We also provide a variety of accounting and management services. We use a constructive approach in all engagements. For example, as a result of acquiring intimate knowledge of a client's financial and administrative problems, we often recommend improvements for more efficient operation, stronger financial structure and improved accounting and administrative controls. Our philosophy and practice is to blend the technical, the practical and the business approach in each engagement.
Our firm also recognizes the importance of making education available to community-based organizations. To accomplish this goal, the principals are involved in teaching various courses as highlighted below. The teaching and education we provide is also on an individualized level for each organization.
As we interface with the organization, suggestions and recommendations are made as the engagement progresses to facilitate immediate understanding and implementation of the recommendation. We also train the board of directors through a thorough presentation of the financial statements. We believe that an informed board of directors and senior management provides the most effective guidance for the organization.
We believe in the value of relationships. We view every client relationship like a partnership, and truly believe that our success is a result of your success.
We are committed to providing close, personal attention to our clients. We take pride in giving you the assurance that the personal assistance you receive comes from years of advanced training, technical experience and financial acumen. Our continual investment of time and resources in professional continuing education, state-of-the-art computer technology and extensive business relationships is indicative of our commitment to excellence.
